Martin Sexton will return to Columbus and The Newport Music Hall on Friday, Feb. 15th. 

John Fullbright will play a few songs live during the Global Village before the show that night at Valley Dale Ballroom! 

It's been almost a decade since Johnny Cash died, but fans still travel from around the world to see the place the music legend often described as key to his development: his boyhood home in the eastern Arkansas town of Dyess. The small house will soon serve as a museum — not only as a tribute to Johnny Cash, but also to tell the history of the town.

Yonder Mountain String Band will return to Columbus and The LC Pavilion on Fri. Feb. 1, 2013.  You'll have many chances to win tickets on WCBE up until the show date!  This is also one of our VIP Concert events to choose from and you can check out all the details here.

This is how we sum up 2012: beats, harmonies, struggles, breakdowns, recoveries, party starters, raw-voiced rallying cries, song suites, storytellers, pop experimenters, never-more-devastating septuagenarian poet-crooners, never-more-devastating 285-year-old oratorios, epic statements, perfect miniatures, instant classics, hard-won achievements and explosions of joy. The albums we loved in 2012 — presented here in alphabetical order — spanned genres and borders, and each one got its hooks into us. We hope you find something here that does the same for you.

Woody Pines will make a stop at WCBE to play some songs live during the Global Village. 

Lianne La Havas has toured with Bon Iver, sung with Willy Mason and recorded her debut album with producer Matt Hales, better known as Aqualung. More than most, she can attest to the benefits of knowing the right people, but La Havas also has heaps of talent on her side.

Steve Poltz will return to WCBE to play a few songs for us during the Global Village! 

Long Tall Deb will release her new CD "Raise Your Hands" on Sat. Dec. 8th @ Woodland's Tavern.

New Englanders Bronze Radio Return will play a few songs during the Global Village today! 

The multicultural group The Soul Jazz Orchestra will perform their blend of soul, jazz, latin and carribean sounds during the Global Village!  Tune in for the live session and a chance to win tickets for the show that night at Woodland's Tavern! 

Coming to WCBE Monday November 19th, during the 11am hour, their latest full length release is Funhouse.

They've also got some holiday music available for download on their website, http://caravanofthieves.com.

Half the proceeds from those holiday songs benefit the National Alliance to End Homelessness.

Montreal based Patrick Watson will join us live during the Global Village!

Father John Misty is a character — literally. A persona invented by singer-songwriter Josh Tillman, Father John Misty is there to showcase Tillman's rock-friendly side. In 2008, Tillman joined the Seattle folk-rock band Fleet Foxes as its drummer. After leaving the band at the beginning of the year, he loaded his van and hit the road.

Brooklyn's Jukebox The Ghost will play a few songs live during the Global Village ahead of their show at The Newport with Motion City Soundtrack!  They're touring in support of their third CD Safe Travels on Yep Roc Records! 

The Infamous Stringdusters, the bluegrass band out of Charlottesville, VA., will perform live during the Global Village!
