A former U.S. Army official has been sentenced to six years in federal prison for accepting bribes related to contracting at the U.S. Army Communications-Electronics Command at Aberdeen Proving Ground in Maryland. 

The U.S. Navy is charging four sailors for their roles in the training accident deaths of two divers in Maryland.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration says nearly a dozen safety standards were violated at a U.S. Army weapons-testing pond near Baltimore, where an Ohioan and two other people died earlier this year.

The U.S. Navy says two senior leaders face involuntary manslaughter and dereliction-of-duty charges in the drowning deaths of two divers, including one from Ohio, at the Aberdeen Proving Ground near Baltimore in February.

Funeral arrangements are pending for a U.S. Navy sailor from Noble County who died during a diving accident.
