The future of the white Columbus police officer who shot and killed a 13-year-old African-American boy is still unclear.

Columbus City Council members had little comment during last night's meeting about a protest held at City Hall yesterday calling for justice in the Tyre King shooting.

Columbus police have arrested a man who was with a 13-year-old African-American boy shortly before the teen was fatally shot by a white office investigating a reported armed robbery on the near east side.


Columbus police and city officials say they will be transparent during the investigation into last night's fatal shooting of a 13-year-old by a Columbus officer.  

Columbus police have released the name of the officer who shot and wounded a man after a traffic stop on the North Side last Saturday.
