The win snaps Columbus' three game losing streak. The Sharks have lost five in a row after a 7-0 start. Dubinsky notes the 6 goals are the Jackets highest single-game total this season.

NHL Lockout's Local Effects Not Fully Clear

National Hockey League owners yesterday ratified the tentative contract agreement reached with the players union last weekend.

The columbus Blue Jackets introduced the teams new president this afternoon.  former announcer and St. Louis Blues executive John Davidson will become the clubs president of hockey operations, replacing Mike Priest, who will concentrate on the business side of the franchise.

The first five games of the Columbus Blue Jackets' season have been scrapped because of the National Hockey League lockout.
