The Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority will lay off 41 employees as it begins to privatize management of its nearly 14 hundred public-housing units.

Franklin County Commissioners this week voted to back 12 million dollars in bonds for the Columbus Metropolitan Housing Authority, to fund the second phase of redevelopment of the former Poindexter Village site on the Near East Side.

The controversial demolition of the Poindexter Village housing complex is underway.

The Columbus Board of Zoning Adjustment has approved plans to raze at least part of the Poindexter Village housing complex on the East side.

Plans are in the works to preserve part of the Poindexter Village housing complex.
