Federal Election Commission

A progressive-leaning campaign watchdog group is accusing allies of Republican Ohio Governor John Kasich of breaking elections and ethics laws to donate to Kasich's super PAC. 

The Federal Election Commission is giving political parties new flexibility to pay for their presidential nominating conventions.  

The Federal Election Commission has dismissed a complaint that claimed the Ohio Republican and Democratic parties illegally accepted corporate donations from the Columbus Metropolitan Club because their leaders debated each other last May.
