Ohio State University president Michael Drake says the school has reached its goal of raising 100 million dollars to help needy students earlier than expected. 

The College Board says the average cost of tuition and fees for in-state students at public colleges is 94-hundred dollars a year, and tops 32-thousand at private colleges.

Ohio State University is expanding the amount of financial aid available for needy students by another 20 million dollars.
