Columbus City Council last night appointed a local realtor and the head of Northland Community Council as the newest city council member.

A panel of people selected by Columbus City officials is scheduled to hold its final meeting this afternoon to discuss plans to change the structure of City Council.

All 17 Franklin County common pleas judges have stepped away from hearing the case against former county Board of Elections director Bill Anthony.

The Franklin County Board of Elections has extended the paid leave of director William Anthony until August 15, following his indictment last month on tampering with records and theft in office charges.
