Backers of a state legislative term limits proposal may begin collecting petition signatures to get their measure onto the ballot.

Working under a tight deadline, the Ohio Ballot Board on Friday approved new language for a marijuana legalization amendment that will appear on ballots as Issue 3.

The Ohio Supreme Court has ruled portions of the ballot wording describing a proposal to legalize marijuana in the state is misleading and has ordered a state board to rewrite it.   

A ballot effort to cap at 12 years the combination of time a person could serve in the Ohio Legislature has cleared an initial hurdle.
