U.S. Route 23


Financial documents show Ohio's largest single road construction project and first public-private partnership will cost taxpayers nearly three times its announced price tag of 429 million dollars.

Columbus City Council last night approved the city's portion of a multi-million dollar contract for resurfacing and repairing a portion of U.S. Route 23.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says both directions of U.S. Route 23 on Columbus' North side will move tomorrow to temporary pavement to allow crews to work on the next phase of the construction project.

Pickaway County sheriff's deputies are investigating yesterday's death of a man who was walking to work.

The Ohio Department of Transportation says it will add two left turn lanes from U.S. Route 23 Southbound on to State Route 750 Eastbound near Polaris Fashion Place.
