The group that’s backing a proposed change to Ohio’s constitution over redistricting is putting ads on the air statewide…..three weeks after the group opposing the change first put their spots out. Ohio Public Radio’s Jo Ingles reports.

The Ohio elections commission has now approved a settlement between backers of the group pushing the redistricting issue on the November ballot, the Ohio Republican Party, and another opposition group.

The coalition behind a fall ballot push seeking to change the way Ohio draws legislative and congressional districts wants its complaint against a Republican opposition mailer dismissed.

The Ohio Ballot Board has adopted new language for the ballot summary that voters will see when they cast ballots on a proposed redistricting constitutional amendment. 

Some of Ohio's top attorneys and legal scholars are backing a redistricting amendment on the November ballot.

The Ohio State Bar Association is opposing a proposed constitutional amendment that would change how legislative and congressional districts are drawn in the state.
